Vilmarie Estrella
/ Managing Editor
Almost immediately after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Florida in May 2007, Vilmarie began to work with Martonick Publications as an editorial intern. The Miami native discovered her talent for writing after winning a school-wide writing contest in the fifth grade and was involved in the school newspaper since she was 11. When she was 14, she began getting her stories published in The Miami Herald's "Youth Only" section. She continued to flex her writing and editing muscles throughout her university years. In September 2007, she moved to the south of France for eight months to immerse herself in a foreign culture and teach English to French middle and high school students. She speaks four languages (English, Spanish, French and Italian) and has a cultured and worldly outlook on life. She signed on as managing editor for Martonick Publications in June 2008.

Megan Heron
/ Writer
Born in New Jersey but raised in Pennsylvania, Megan came to Gainesville in August 2006 as a transfer student from Temple University.
Megan came to Florida because she wanted to experience something different. She is one semester shy of graduating from college and her future is wide open. Though she would like to go back up north to be closer to her family, she is willing to travel anywhere across the country for her dream job. Megan likes to dabble her hands in everything, but she'd absolutely love a job where she could write about music or health issues.

Stacy Fournier
/ Writer
As a mother of a 2-year-old girl, Stacy Fournier experiences the everyday rewards and struggles of parenting. Curious about her own daughter and role as a parent, she enjoys researching and writing about interesting topics to help families. Stacy is a fourth-year journalism major at the University of Florida and will graduate next May. She has been writing for Gainesville Parenting since January 2008. Before coming to the magazine, she wrote several articles published in The Gainesville Sun and its campus edition.
